Boneyard Beach located on Big Talbot Island located in North Florida is one of the few undeveloped barrier islands in the State of Florida and a place you must see especially if you are into photography.
Just past the bluff and tree line you will see the remains of trees washed up as they pass through the channel near the coast. Most of the photos I took that day were taken with my Leica M Monochrom which I have since sold and a Nikon F3 loaded with Fuji ACROS. My only hope is that this stretch of beach is never developed because it is truly amazing just the way it is.
I always am hopeful that because this section of beach is so important to the natural ecosystem that it would never be sold to developers, I also remain guarded. I have seen it time and again, where natural habitats have been sold and developed for profit. Ruining the landscape, destroying the ecosystem and blocking out anyone from seeing the beauty with fences and barriers by new landowners. If you have not been to Big or Little Talbot Island areas in North Florida, do yourself a favor and go as soon as you can. You will not be disappointed and neither will your camera. If your photography game needs some nature diversity in your portfolio, take a trip to the Talbot Islands.
